FONA International Announces Confections Business Unit Promotion and New Hires

FONA is pleased to share information on a promotion in our Confections business unit and the hiring of three new team members.


PROMOTION


Craig Savage — Confections Business Unit Solutions Manager


Craig leads our entire Confections team of application and flavor experts, aligning technology and capabilities with customer needs to deliver complete flavor solutions. Previously, Craig was our Applications Manager in the Confections lab. He has more than 18 years of technical and commercialization experience in the confectionary and bakery markets and is a member of the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Confectioners’ Association Board of Directors. Craig holds a B.S. and an M.S. in food science from Penn State University.


NEW HIRES


Eric Jogun, Director of Manufacturing Operations


Eric has worked in supply chain, continuous improvement, engineering & maintenance and production for more than 20 years. At FONA, he calls on this wealth of experience to lead our production and maintenance teams as they work to meet our customers’ order needs each day. Eric holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from William Woods University. He has also earned a certificate in Lean Tools from Ohio State University and is a Certified Practitioner for SQF.


Kristin Parshall, Technical Director — Beverage Business Unit


Kristin brings 20 years of leadership and technical experience in the beverage industry. She utilizes her extensive product development experience to lead our beverage team, directing R&D efforts. Kristin also works with people across our organization to expand capabilities that deliver on customers’ innovation, technology and flavor needs. Kristin holds a B.S. in chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.S. in food science from the University of Massachusetts. Anthony Roach, Engineering & Maintenance Manager Anthony leads FONA’s team of plant and maintenance engineers in their preservation and maintenance efforts for our manufacturing operation systems to ensure optimum plant efficiency and productivity. He is also responsible for the purchase of new plant equipment. The past five years he spent in corporate project engineering and management roles. Anthony holds a chemical engineering degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
