FONA International, developer and manufacturer of complete flavor solutions for some of the world’s leading food, beverage, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical companies, is pleased to announce it will host the ‘Science Behind the Flavor’ course for 40 DuPage County teachers on February 28, 2014, through its Discover FONA educational program.

Teachers will learn about the science and chemistry of flavor and how they can incorporate it into their classrooms with hands-on demos and exciting experiments. They’ll also be introduced to real-world career paths available to their students in the flavor and food industries.

“I am very excited to host this group of teachers at FONA,” said Katie Sudler, Director of Discover FONA. “They will have the opportunity to not only relate the topics to their curriculum, but will go back to their classrooms with knowledge of new STEM careers their students have likely never considered.”

The Discover FONA educational program was created in 2012 and has introduced more than 2,500 students to the science of flavor. To learn more about the program visit www.fona.com/discover-fona.
