Barb Pugesek Named Director of Customer and Culture Excellence, Plus Flavorist, Scientist and Marketing Additions

Geneva, IL, February 10, 2016 - FONA International, developer and manufacturer of complete flavor solutions for many of the world's leading food, beverage, and nutritional companies, has promoted Barb Pugesek to Director of Customer and Culture Excellence. She will lead program innovation and renovation initiatives to serve customers, employees and stakeholders — and always with a focus on the FONA’s commitment to excellence. In her 15 years at FONA, Barb has proven herself to be a true leader, a creative partner and impeccable interpreter of needs. She has the uncanny ability to understand multiple perspectives, develop solutions and get the job done.

Laura Partida has been hired as Senior Flavoristwithin the Beverage Business Unit.  Laura is no stranger to FONA, having worked for the company 2009-2015, working in both the Beverage and Grain business units. Laura will use her 15 years of expertise in flavor creation and relationship building to provide excellence, strategy and winning flavors for customers. She is certified with the Society of Flavor Chemists and has a bachelor’s degree in Biology.

Bobbi Bock has been hired as Senior Scientist within FONA’s Confections, Healthcare and Desserts Business Unit. A proven subject matter expert, Bobbi has more than 20 years of experience with dairy product development. Bobbi’s diverse expertise and relentless pursuit of excellence will help as she leads projects and develops solutions for customers. Bobbi has a master’s degree in Dairy Science.

FONA has hired Jennifer Lucas as Marketing Manager supporting the Grain Business Unit. She brings more than 15 years of diverse strategic marketing experience to the role, including in the areas of food and nutraceuticals. Jennifer will provide marketing leadership to connect and translate insights into innovative solutions. She completed a Master of Product Design and Development Executive Education at Northwestern University, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
