May 8, 2018. Palm Beach, FL– Kathleen Crossman, FONA’s Vice President of Regulatory, has been awarded the President’s Excellence in Service Award from the Flavor & Extracts Manufacturers Association.
Kathleen serves as Chair of the organization’s Flavor Labeling Committee. She first joined FEMA in 1994, and has been an active member and volunteer for 24 years.
“I’m incredibly humbled and honored,” said Kathleen. “FEMA has been good to me. Here, I have found lifelong friends and rewarding service. So many people helped me on this journey.”
The award was given last night at FEMA’s Leadership Conference in Palm Beach, Florida.
According to FEMA, the President’s Excellence in Service Award was created to acknowledge individuals who have helped build the pillars of the organization without the status of being on the Board of Governors or serving as FEMA President. It is intended to recognize individuals who may not be able to participate at the board level due to their company’s structure or those who may not even be looking for recognition. These are people who have dedicated a great amount of time to keep the organization moving forward in all areas. The President’s Excellence in Service Award is intended to be given to the most deserving candidate and is not presented every year. The award is only given in years when there is a worthy recipient.
